ECOSYSTEM : CONCEPT OF SHONAN HEALTH INNOVATION PARK

Shonan Health Innovation Park is envisioned to be an openly innovative ecosystem built on pharmaceutical know-how where industry, government, and academia come together to incubate and accelerate the translation of cutting-edge science into impactful health solutions for patients in Japan and globally. The Health Innovation Park is designed to:

  • Provide access to pharmaceutical expertise and state- of- the- art capabilities and research settings to accelerate true innovation
  • Nurture an entrepreneurial culture that encourages creative problem-solving and pushes boundaries
  • Catalyze transformative public-private partnerships
  • Attract global talent and investment 

Shonan Health Innovation Park Grand Opening

Co-hosted by Takeda and Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, the grand opening ceremony of Shonan Health Innovation Park ("Shonan iPark") was held on Friday, April 13, 2018. Shonan iPark brings together partners, such as business ventures, hospitals, and local governments to promote entrepreneurship and collaboration. The park will serve as a bridge between industry, government and academia in the field of life science, and aims to attract 3,000 researchers by 2020.

Takeda Participated in Bio Japan 2017

Takeda is a Platinum sponsor of Asia’s leading partnering event for the global biotechnology industry, Bio Japan 2017. We hosted one of the Luncheon Seminars held on Thursday, October 12th. And between October 11th and 13th, we were at Takeda’s booth presenting our ongoing efforts to create Japan’s first pharma-led health innovation ecosystem and showcasing our R&D and partnership activities.
