Psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis are chronic, systemic, immune-mediated inflammatory diseases that can affect many aspects of a person’s life.1,2 Plaque psoriasis is characterized by itchy and/or painful plaques with effects that extend beyond the skin.1,3,4 Psoriatic arthritis affects up to 30% of people living with psoriasis and can cause joint pain, swelling, stiffness and irreversible damage.5,6 Together, these conditions are referred to as psoriatic disease and can significantly affect quality of life, impacting physical function, emotional well-being, relationships, work productivity and everyday activities.4,7
