FTSE4GoodShire is pleased to announce that we have been again recognized as a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series, a leading responsibility investment index calculated semi-annually by the global index provider FTSE.  The FTSE4Good has been prioritised for the last 4 years as Shire’s primary external assessment of Shire’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices, and is positive external recognition of Shire’s focus on being a Responsible company.

Inclusion in this particular review is a significant achievement as the FTSE has implemented a new assessment methodology increasing the standards and more than doubling the EGS themes analysed including the evaluation of over 300 indicators addressing Climate Change, Pollution and Resources, Water, Biodiversity, Supply Chain, Labour Standards, Human Rights and Community, Health and Safety, Customer Responsibility, Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Anti-Corruption, and Tax Transparency.

“Recognition from FTSE is an outstanding achievement and another example of Shire’s commitment to an ethical, sustainable and responsible approach to all that we do,” said Brooke Clarke, head of Responsibility for Shire.
