Takeda Announces the Appointment of Third-party Investigators Regarding Candesartan Antihypertensive Survival Evaluation in Japan (CASE-J)

Osaka, Japan, March 7, 2014 –Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited (“Takeda”) announced today the appointment of law firm Jones Day (Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo) as third-party investigators regarding CASE-J.
Takeda will fully cooperate with the investigation conducted by Jones Day. At this point of time, it is expected that the investigation will take approximately three months.
Takeda will disclose the results of the investigation as soon as available. Furthermore, Takeda will promptly disclose any significant findings determined from the investigation in a timely manner even during the course of the investigation.
