Patient Blogs

When coping with a chronic disease that strongly impacts quality of life, patients often search for information online. However, they are not only seeking medical information. Patients find it extremely useful to learn from peers and their methods for coping with the struggles in their daily lives.

Love, nutrition, travel, pregnancy, study, work, kids... all these subjects are covered on the IBD patient blogs that Takeda has set up together with the patient associations CCV-vzw and Association Crohn- RCUH. This award-winning content platform offers authentic stories written by and for IBD patients, people from their lives and IBD experts.

Ever since the blog’s launch in October 2015, the IBD community has continued to grow. So far, over 250,000 unique visitors have found their way to the platform. Via the links below, it is easy to follow the 32 bloggers who live with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis and to gain insight into their experiences with the diseases. They reveal how they deal with their disease and how their lives and the lives of their families have changed since the diagnosis. Read all their courageous and inspiring stories here:
