Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Takeda UK

At Takeda we strive to have a workforce as diverse as the patients we serve.

At Takeda, our people are our top priority. We aim to create a diverse and inclusive organisation where people can thrive, grow and realise their potential while enabling our purpose.

Our values - Integrity, Fairness, Honesty, and Perseverance and our priorities, Patient-Trust-Reputation-Business - guide every decision we make and every action we take – it is who we are. Our success depends on fostering an inclusive environment where all colleagues are welcomed, empowered, and inspired to use their unique voices and talents. This is how we’ll find innovative approaches to serve our patients, customers, and communities.

Takeda’s Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Council

Our employee-led DE&I Council’s mission is to embed DE&I into our organisation’s culture and ways of working. Aligned to our overall strategic priorities, the Council seeks to enable all colleagues to feel that they belong and can thrive at Takeda.

Our Council’s priorities are based on regular feedback from employees. We’ve made significant progress in measuring DE&I at Takeda, creating supportive and flexible working practices and policies and fostering greater understanding amongst our colleagues. We were delighted to have this work recognised at the Business Culture Awards, but we know our work isn’t done and we continue to support inclusion and a sense of belonging for all our colleagues at Takeda.

Takeda Resource Groups, allyship and networks

Takeda Resource Groups (TRGs) are voluntary, employee-led internal networks for individuals who share aspirations, characteristics, and life experiences, alongside allies and advocates for positive change. They are open to all employees.
