Almeno 200.000 persone in Italia sono affette da colite ulcerosa, malattia di Crohn e in genere da malattie infiammatorie croniche intestinali (MICI)1, mentre si stima che, in Europa, il 10- 20% della popolazione soffra di MRGE (Malattia da Reflusso GastroEsofageo)2.

Queste patologie si stanno diffondendo sempre più, complici anche i cambiamenti sociali legati agli stili di vita3,4.

Le persone che soffrono di queste patologie spesso presentano sintomi depressivi, ansia e stress che possono influenzare negativamente il decorso della malattia e la qualità della vita5.
