Last year, to mark the 240th anniversary of Takeda’s founding in Osaka in 1781, the company launched a branding campaign inspired by the tagline: “Takeda serves the world. Innovatively. With our values.” The campaign and tagline encapsulate Takeda's mission to strive towards better health and a brighter future for people worldwide through leading innovation in medicine.
Shining a light
Grounded in the emotional power of our employees’ stories, the campaign illustrates how Takeda’s values and the power of innovation come together to deliver life-transforming treatments to patients.
And as a reflection of our multifaceted approach to achieving our mission, each commercial in the campaign shines a light on the ways in which our company is breaking new ground – not only in the research and development that leads to new scientific discoveries, but also in our global perspective and in manufacturing, quality and supply.
The first TV commercial highlighted Takeda’s collaboration with Kyoto University to bring innovations in the field of induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells, while the second celebrated the diversity of our global Neuroscience Research team.
Next in focus is manufacturing and supply. Our latest commercial provides a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Takeda employees engaged in the manufacture and supply of regenerative medicines at our state-of-the-art facility in Osaka, Japan. The treatment produced here will be manufactured to order, and delivered to patients within 72 hours of being packaged. The commercial was filmed on location, and illustrates the manufacturing and supply team’s speed and coordination as well as their commitment to providing medicines for patients. Their work is a great source of pride for the entire Takeda team.
The commercial will make its public debut on August 26, 2022, but Takeda Stories subscribers can watch an exclusive preview of it here (Japanese only): takeda.info/3KeVN7x.
As the campaign continues, we will share more stories of Takeda’s advances in scientific innovation; diversity, equity & inclusion; environmental initiatives; data, digital & technology; and corporate governance. Stay tuned for more to come!
