Your privacy and the protection of your personal data is important to us. This Privacy Notice explains the type of personal data Takeda may process about you and why and how we use it when you are using the HemA AR Demo - application (“Application”).
Takeda is a globally operating group of companies. The Takeda enterprise includes the parent company Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, and its affiliated entities (together “Takeda” or “We”). This application is operated and managed by our service provider Quantum Interface (for more details – see How to Contact Us section below). The app helps people with hemophilia administering medication via IV self-infusion with butterfly needles, to better manage their transitioning to self-infusion by enabling virtual learning of the step by step self-infusion process. The aim is to provide empowerment and enable smoother transition to self-infusion.
The app currently includes the following features: three selected steps from step by step infusion process with augmented reality (AR) interactions, a breathing exercise, example of quiz question and answer, and video of how the quiz points could be used for light gamification activity, and one example of infusion step instructions for taking the medication to be used as discussion point in user testing. The user shall not administer real medication when using the HemA AR Demo -app.

Any information you input when using the Application will not be processed or stored centrally. However, we will process information about you (collectively and individually, the “Information”) as needed for:
Our use of your personal data as described above is based on providing you access to the Demo application.
We process the Information to provide you with the above-mentioned functions and to provide you with optimal functionality and operation. We also process the information to manage and improve the Application.
The app can be accessed via the link provided to your e-mail address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Information. You should make sure your user ID and password are kept confidential. You should also be aware that information displayed on your screen may be viewed by others in your vicinity. If at any time you have reason to believe the security of the Application has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
We may share your information with our authorized service providers with whom we collaborate to fulfil the above purposes. When using the application, you allow Takeda to use your information. Use of your information helps us to better understand how patients use the Application and how it can be improved.
You are consenting to allow Takeda to use your personal data in a de-identified. De-identification means that identifying information such as your e-mail is removed so that your information cannot be related back to you.
We may also have to share your Information for regulatory reporting purposes or legal obligations.
Your information is stored an on-line Application server. The sharing of your personal data may involve transfers to other countries. The data protection laws in these countries may not provide the same level of protection as your home country. Takeda will put in place safeguards to adequately protect your personal data in connection with such transfers, including contractual protections for which you may request additional information from us.
We keep your personal data for as long as you use this service/application. We may also keep your data for a reasonable period following the user testing e.g. fulfilment of our services or termination of your relationship with us or discontinuation of your use of our application, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Takeda may also delete all your Information after inactivity of your account for 1 year.
Uninstallation and removal methods vary depending on your device. To uninstall and remove the Application and your local data, please use the application manager provided with your device or consult your device manual or online instructions provided by the device provider for reference. The Information residing on the Application server will then be deleted after 1 year of inactivity.
You have the right to request access to, rectification and deletion of your personal data or that its use be restricted. If you would like to make a request to exercise any of these rights, please contact us [email protected]
If you have a complaint on the way your personal data is being processed, you also have the right to contact the Data Protection Supervisory Authority in your home country where there is one.
