Takeda’s R&D site in Boston is focused on the advancement of research in the areas of Oncology, GI, Immunomodulation and Biologics. The research team is co-located with the Oncology, GI and Neuroscience Therapeutic Area Units, Vaccines, Translational Research, the Center for External Innovation and global development functions. Boston is also home to Pharmaceutical Science activities for small molecule, biologics and other new modalities.
Takeda’s R&D site in San Diego is focused on specialized technologies in support of GI and neuroscience research, such as bacTRAP, and serves as an interface for the dynamic San Diego and San Francisco biotechnology ecosystems. A team of Pharmaceutical Scientists are based in San Diego to support the site’s research capabilities.
Takeda is building a state of the art facility for its existing research site in San Diego that will also serve as a hub for innovation, collaboration and patient engagement for the thriving San Diego life science community.
