Takeda Ireland is a wholly owned subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited (TPC), the number one pharmaceutical company in Japan and one of the world’s top 100 companies.

From a manufacturing perspective, Takeda has facilities in 18 countries worldwide and Takeda Ireland Ltd, are part of the Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain (GMS) group reporting to their Head Quarters in Zurich.

Takeda Ireland have played a key role in Takeda's worldwide operations since October 1997.  In 1999,  following the opening of custom-built premises, they began manufacturing drug products in Bray, Co. Wicklow.

Takeda Ireland – Bray, is a Solid Oral Dosage Facility, which produces, packs and ships key strategic granulates, solid oral dosage tablets and final packaged product to the worldwide markets including the major US, European, Japanese and valuable emerging markets. Bray produces products for the therapeutic areas of Cardiovascular and Metabolic, Central Nervous System (CNS) and Gastro Intestinal.

Takeda Ireland - Bray, currently has over 260 employees and is a shift operation, presently working twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.  To enable this, Takeda Ireland – Bray draws on the expertise of its world-class people, equipment and systems to meet the challenges of competing in our leading-edge markets. With a best-in-class quality and safety record, we have also focused on operational excellence with all of its employees trained in LEAN manufacturing techniques.
