Manufacturing in Ireland

Takeda Ireland draws on the expertise of its world-class people, equipment and systems to meet the challenges of competing in our leading-edge markets.  We have also focused on operational excellence with all of our employees trained in LEAN manufacturing techniques.

Our manufacturing operations are carried out, and we make decisions, by focusing on our four priorities, in this order:

  1. Putting the Patient at the Centre
  2. Building Trust with Society
  3. Reinforcing our Reputation
  4. Developing the Business

Since 2008, the Takeda Ireland continuous improvement programme has been endeavouring to ensure that we produce a high-quality product with high productivity and low cost while all the time showing respect to our people, patients, customers, suppliers and environment.

Through the programme, we have embedded the continuous improvement culture needed to be a strong and successful company.  A company that attracts and retains excellence utilises our expertise and continuously strives for improvement in everything we do.

At the core, Takeda Ireland is committed to the health and well-being of the patients whom they serve – both nationally and globally. Providing treatments for some of the most life-threatening illnesses of our time, and delivering a quality of life that would have been unthinkable mere decades ago.

Products produced in Ireland are for the therapeutic areas of Cardiovascular & Metabolic, Central Nervous System, Gastro-Intestinal and Oncology.  These include treatments for:

  • Bray: Diabetes, Hypertension, Peptic Ulcers, Insomnia
