Masato Iwasaki | Takeda Pharmaceuticals

Masato Iwasaki, Ph.D., is the Representative Director and Member of the Takeda Board, Japan General Affairs.

Mr. Iwasaki joined Takeda in 1985 and had an extensive career in sales and marketing under the Pharmaceutical Marketing Division. In 2003, he was appointed as Manager of Strategic Product Planning and Project Leader for the Cardiovascular and Metabolic franchise. He was named Senior Vice President of the Strategic Product Planning department in 2008 and served as Corporate Officer in 2010. He served as the President of Japan Pharma Busines Unit until March 2021.

Mr. Iwasaki holds a doctorate in Medical Science from Juntendo University and a master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Tokyo University of Pharmacy and Life Sciences in Japan.
