The Alliance Process
Takeda conducts alliance by the following four major steps.

Search
Information concerning compounds and products, drug targets, and basic technologies of Takeda’s interest is collected by monitoring of public information and individual interviews, and items to be evaluated in detail are determined.
Evaluation
Evaluation is based on confidential materials and due diligence. Economic as well as scientific evaluation is performed.
Negotiation / Contract
After internal evaluation, concrete terms are discussed with the partner, aiming to conclude a contract acceptable to both parties.
Alliance management
After conclusion of the contract, the alliance manager follows up the alliance until its completion.
