Profit Distribution
Basic Policy for Profit Distribution
In order to ensure sustainable growth in corporate value, Takeda will continue to make strategic investments with the aim of enhancing its R&D pipeline in a way suitable to a Research & Development-driven global pharmaceutical company, and of improving its business infrastructure both in Japan and overseas. As for profit distribution, Takada plans to buy back shares as needed, in order to improve capital efficiency and further promote return to shareholders, taking into consideration its overall capital requirements, as well as the stable enhancement of the dividend payout ratio.
For the dividend policy during the 2010-2012 Mid-Range Plan, Takeda plans to maintain a stable dividend and has adopted a basic policy of maintaining dividends per share at the fiscal 2009 level.
