CSR in Takeda

Throughout our more than 220-year history, Takeda has maintained a strong commitment to society, demonstrating high ethical standards and living up to our mission of promoting better health for individuals and progress in medicine. With this in mind, therefore, we are intimately familiar with the CSR concept and would even say it is rooted in the very essence of Takeda.

The Company champions a "Corporate Philosophy" comprising Takeda-ism, Management Mission, Management Vision and Corporate Values. The basic concept of CSR is tightly interwoven into our philosophy.

Takeda-ism means all employees pledge to "integrity always" and "upholding a basic stance of fairness and honesty in compliance with our high ethical standards, and tireless efforts to pursue our operations and management in the optimal manner." These empower our progress in our global endeavors to fulfill our mission to "strive toward better health for individuals and progress in medicine by developing superior pharmaceutical products." We believe these are no more than the underlying concept of CSR.
