Takeda remains committed to growing globally as a R&D-driven company.
Ethical Drug Business
The ethical drug business is Takeda's core business. Innovative new drugs created at our R&D bases in Japan, the Americas, Europe and Asia are delivered to patients through our worldwide sales network that spans around 70 countries. Including sales by licensees, Takeda pharmaceutical products are marketed in about 100 countries. The entire Takeda Group includes 17 in-house production plants located in 14 different countries, along with three production bases run by joint ventures in Asia. These plants are supported by our global supply chain.
Consumer Healthcare Business (Consumer Healthcare Drugs and Quasi-Drugs)
In its consumer healthcare business, Takeda manufactures and markets consumer healthcare drugs and quasi-drugs that help keep people healthy in their everyday lives. In this business, we are now conducting activities for products with well-established brands for many years such as Alinamin and Benza in order to further strengthen their brand values, and to make them widely accepted across all generations of people.
